Yellow Door Energy is looking for a Digital Transformation Manager.

The ideal candidate will be excited about bringing clean energy solutions to businesses in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. She/he will report to the Head of Strategy and will work closely with all teams across the organization. Yellow Door Energy strives to build differentiating Digital capabilities and the Digital Transformation Manager is expected to be the driving force behind this. Given that Yellow Door Energy is a quickly growing company, the role is likely to develop over time, possibly leading to changing responsibilities and reporting lines.

The Digital Transformation Manager will have multiple functions in their role:

  1. Digital innovation lead (40%)
  2. ERP development manager (50%)
  3. User support manager & corporate IT administrator (10%)


  • Drive continuous Digital innovation within Yellow Door Energy
    • Identify new, innovative, digital opportunities for Yellow Door Energy (e.g. Customer app, Machine Learning for asset management, business process automation, advanced customer applications, cyber security)
    • Define priorities and develop business cases for new digital applications; create buy-in for solutions
    • Develop and implement the new applications; either yourself or supported by 3rd parties
    • Optimize solutions over time based on end-user feedback
  • Continue the development of NetSuite to YDE end-user requirements:
    • Continuously identify improvement opportunities based on user feedback
    • Design & test potential solutions with end-users
    • Lead and project manage the implementation of solutions in NetSuite; implement quick wins yourself, and manage vendors to realize the objectives above where needed
  • Take responsibility for the general IT administration within the company (supported by 3rd vendors)
    • Support YDE customers and employees with YDE’s digital environment
    • Organize and facilitate user training

These responsibilities are subject to change depending on the needs of YDE. There may be a need for travel to support country offices, within the scope of the role in YDE.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent
  • Highly analytical and a quick-learner
  • Pro-active, creative, pragmatic, and eager to ‘roll up your sleeves’
  • Impressive track record of achieving results in ERP-administration and development, as well as other software development (min. of 5-8 years’ experience). Experience with NetSuite is a strong plus
  • Strong track record in project management and working with vendor development teams
  • PMP and/or agile qualifications are a plus
  • Strong understanding of the latest applications and trends in Digital, and ability to translate these into practical use cases
  • (Consulting) experience at a globally renowned firm is a plus
  • Have the proven abilities to engage teams of colleagues and to create buy-in for software solutions
  • Are willing to travel occasionally to YDE’s offices in different countries as needed to receive user feedback and provide training
  • Strong collaborative team player attitude and keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
